Flark's (Non-Existent) Diary 13 March 2002 I attended Despil's wedding. The usual sorts of formalities were involved. The Serpent appeared at the blessing. I suspect interference by the priests, but some I know will take this as a sign of his favor. Jendo indeed seemed somewhat disturbed. Superstitious fool. The others have decided to declare the Keep of the Four Worlds a soveriegn nation and have resloved to make war upon Despil. This seems a somewhat dubious gambit. Its questionable legality might be excused, if they surety of destroying Despil, but I fear he may be too wily for them. Fortunately, my role in this is merely to watch, wait and preserve for them a safe haven, if I can. To that end, I have embarked on the following preparations. [With GM approval.] Should things go badly, it seems to me that Despil might attempt to seize the Keep as spoils of war. I cannot allow that to occur. I am therefore assembling a military force sufficient to seize or destroy the Keep. It will go into Shadow nearby. Should circumstances require, it will seize or destroy the Keep in the name of Chaos. (For is not an attack on a major House reason enough to act against a hostile foreign power?) I believe I may be able to gain access to the Keep without danger, if I am at its head. If not, perhaps it can be stormed or destroyed with Primal Chaos. Once it is secured, Jendo can pursue his claim in Court, if he so desires. Some of the party may also be captured either by Jendo or the Crown. While Jendo will likely kill them out of hand, I will instruct my lawyers to prepare legal cases defending them from the charge of treason. If the fiction of Keliith's youth still holds, perhaps he could be spared on that account and surrendered to my custody. Audrey-Manette may also fall into this category. Fendrith might be spared on the grounds that he is a useful zoological specimin. Will have to think upon the others. Or have the lawyers think for me. Also, my Null chamber should be expanded to accomadate several living within, if any of them flee to me.
