Polaris
A superhero character for Champions (5th edition).
(Character name and concept © by Franklin W. Cain.

Jake McKenzie is a successful self-employed inventor with dozens of useful patents to his name. In his guise as the Canadian superhero Polaris, he is also a "civilian consultant" for the Mounties (i.e.: he's a superhero on call with Canadian law enforcement).
When not working (either in his workshop, or on a case with the Mounties), Jake likes to go to the great outdoors, and watch birds.
Jake has a long-standing disagreement with a comic book publisher in the United States. They based their fictional character, Captain Canada, upon Polaris (even going so far as to use his exact likeness as their artistic inspiration), without ever bothering to get Jake's permission (let alone, making any licensing arrangements). And since this comic has achieved a modest following, Polaris is often mistaken for Captain Canada, even though his crime-fighting career started long before Captain Canada was first published.

The Concealment Skill covers the fact that this property is legally owned by a series of shell companies, which eventually leads back to Jake.
The Disguise Skill is for more than just "Hey, this upper-class suburban home is not actually an armored fortress used by a superhero as his base of operations, honest!" It also covers how well hidden the various entrances to the underground portions of the base are.
The Security Systems Skill is used to oppose any attempts to break into the base (e.g.: vs. Lockpicking).
