Campaign Log for 6 December 2002

A thousand years ago, Random declared an exile for all of his siblings and their children, banishing them all from Amber (proper) for a millenium, claiming that they were all taking Amber for granted. Somehow, this was accepted by all the other Elders. [ENGAGE SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF AT MAXIMUM!] Anyway, that was then, this is now...
The Elders meet at Amber, in the palace
(with the candlestick), and bring their children with them.There are four new members of the family... Florimel brings her daughter, Violet. Malaclypse (the son of Caine) brings his son, Garibaldi. Bleys brings his son, Laughing Coyote. And finally, Luke and Coral bring their daughter, Amber.
A formal dinner is planned this evening. The younglings each go into town to get new finery for the occasion. Coincidentally, they each end up patroning the same tailor. With an entire city to choose from, you would think that there would be several clothiers considered worthy of royal attention; perhaps this one is superior with dresses and gowns, that one is renowned for his cloaks and capes, that other one for both the fashion and the utility of her doublets, hunting leathers, and other active wear...
Meanwhile, Wulf, the son of Eric, returns on horseback. After dropping off his bags in his rooms (formerly, his father's rooms), he pays his respects to his father's tomb, where he makes a nasty discovery...
Eventually, the family gathers so that the four younglings can be properly introduced. Random welcomes everyone back, and then dinner is served.
After dinner, the younglings are excused, and the rest of the family gathers at the library. Once in the library, Random tells of the disappearances of Benedict and Gerard. Wulf butts in to tell of the third absence, Merlin. Random continues to suggest that the family try to collectively Trump the missing relatives (ala Corwin's concert to rescue Brand during PatternFall). There is no success contacting any of the three absentees, and the meeting adjourns...
Meanwhile, each of the newest members of the family has fallen asleep, and they all share the same dream, wherein they are forced to fight one another, to the death...
