Hollander's Temporary Transformation
(Alteration)

Level: 3
Range: 5 yards/level
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 1d6 rounds/level
Casting Time: 3
Area of Effect: One creature
Saving Throw: Special

This variation of transform another entitles the target creature to two separate saving throws vs. "shape-change". If the creature makes the first saving throw, then this spell fails entirely. If the creature fails the first saving throw but makes the second saving throw, then the duration of this spell is halved. In any event, the caster of this spell does not know the exact duration of the transformation. In all other respects, this spell functions the same as transform another.

Hollander's Multitudinous Frogs
(Alteration)
Reversible

Level: 8
Range: 5 yards/level
Components: V, S
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: 8
Area of Effect: Special
Saving Throw: Neg.

This spell lets the caster transform a group of ordinary animals into an equal number of ordinary frogs. All of the animals in the group to be affected must be of the same type. The animal type must be non-magical (i.e., it must be a "mundane" creature type). Furthermore, the animals must have an Intelligence rating no higher than "Semi."

The reverse of this spell allows the caster to transform a number of frogs into an equal number of non-magical animals of any one type. In this case, the "frogs" can be of a monstrous kind of frog or toad, provided that all such frogs to be transformed are of the same kind and they have an Intelligence rating no higher than "Semi." The type of animals created by the reverse of this spell must meet the same criteria as established for the un-reversed form of this spell.

The number of animals the wizard can affect with a single casting of this spell is based on the hit dice of the animal type or the hit dice of the "frog" type, whichever is greater.

If the hit dice has a bonus of +3 or more, then treat the hit dice as being one higher than it is. One saving throw is rolled for the entire group of creatures. Assuming the group fails its collective saving throw, the creatures will automatically survive the transformation and will adopt all aspects of their new form. One round after the transformation, the spell's residual aura fades and the transformation cannot be
cancelled. Furthermore, if any of the animals die after this aura fades, they will not revert to their original form.
