Culture Knowledge Culture Knowledge is a specialization of Area Knowledge. As such, it benefits from the Traveler skill enhancer (and not the Scholar skill enhancer). I've written more about this type of Background Skill elsewhere. Language I've written more about this type of Background Skill elsewhere. Terrain Knowledge Terrain Knowledge is a specialization of Area Knowledge. As such, it benefits from the Traveler skill enhancer (and not the Scholar skill enhancer). I've written more about this type of Background Skill elsewhere. Transport Familiarity
Weapon Familiarity Transport Familiarity and Weapon Familiarity are now specializations of Professional Skill. As such, they now benefit from the Jack of All Trades skill enhancer.
The minimum cost for a category of transports or weapons is still one point (1 pt.). This gives a skill roll of "8-" (or"11-" if you also have Jack of All Trades). The minimum cost for a common group of transports or weapons is still two points (2 pts.). This gives a (collective) skill roll of "11-" (or better, for Jack of All Trades). You still cannot buy an uncommon group of transports or weapons. You still have to buy the individual transport/weapon categories, one by one. If you spend more than the minimum cost for a category (or if you buy a category included in a common group you've already bought), you can use this category's TF or WF as a Complementary Skill in the appropriate circumstances. Instead of scrolling through my extensive list of Background Skills to find the specific TF or WF you want, you might be better off just reading the separate document for TFs or WFs.
